The twelve Gods Of Olympus have a unique position in Ancient Greek History. They have a super human nature, yet they have feelings and weaknesses like all mortals do.
Now, I am bringing exclusively from Greece, pendants, made with sterling silver. These pendants have both sides. The front side depicts that particular God's head. The back side shows their emblem. For example, Athena who is the Goddess of Wisdom and the patron of the City of Athens, is shown in a pendant with the owl, the Bird of Wisdom in the back side.
If you want to order a God/Goddess you don't see in the site, please, email us and we will order it for you.
Great product, Competitive prices.

Ward Off Bad Luck by Wearing a Piece of Evil Eye Jewelry
From Greece and Turkey and throughout the Mediterranean basin one will find jewelry pieces with an eye starring at you set in blue glass.
In the antiquity, there was a widespread belief that the fear of the evil eye is based on the fact that certain people have eyes whose glance has the power to injure or even kill and that can be intentional or unintentional.
By wearing evil eye jewelry or hanging evil eye ornaments in the home, one is following a superstition meant to protect one from envy or harm. This bit of "folklore" or history has been around for centuries in many Mediterranean and Arab countries. If one watches the movie "Trojan War", he will notice that the Greeks painted an eye in their boats to protect them from bad luck.
You'll also find the eye in talismans, jewelry, and even on coffee mugs in bazaars in Greece, Turkey, Spain, etc. It has carried over into many other cultures even being found in the United Kingdom and the United States (look at the dollar bill, you will find one in the back).
Enhance your good luck now, be selecting among our great selection of fine evil eye jewelry.
Our evil eye jewelry selection is made with sterling silver and hand blown glass. One will find
a big variety of earrings, necklace pendants and bracelets to chose from.
From magnets to baby pins, my site has a selection of evil eye jewelry for all ages and different colors and styles.

Carnival Traditions and their Greek connection
Today is the last day of the Greek Carnival Tradition which is celebrated with a big parade in the Town of Patra and the traditional kite-flying and family picknic in Athens.
Today's date is called "Clean Monday" or "Kathara Theftera" because of the consumption of pure food, that is food without the shedding of blood. More important, it is the first day of Lent in the Greek Orthodox calendar.
Carnival is not a new concept for Greeks. The processions, costuming and feasting derive from festivities called "Dionysia" which were performed in Ancient Athens in honor of Dionysus, the God of wine, pleasure, vegetation and festivity. "Dionysia" were normally held at the end of March signifying the end of winter and beginning of the birth of crops.
Western Theater also originates in Athens and specifically, in the theatrical plays (tragedies and comedies) performed during the "Dionysia"
To celebrate the end of the Carnival season and the beginning of Spring, we offer free "First class" shipping, including unbeatable discounts in selected items.

Big Hearts, Little Hearts, Greek Jewelry Has it all
As we are getting closer to Valentine's Day, let's take a step back and revisit the flames of love and jealousy surrounding the 12 Gods of Olympus. The pantheon of Greek Gods resembles to a movie set evolving through the centuries with acts of jealousy, love, and adultery.
Afrodite, the Goddess of love who emerged from the foam of sea, was of such a striking beauty that Zeus, the father of all Gods and humans, forced her to marry Hephaistus, the ugliest of all Gods. It was his hope that such an arranged union will end the jealousy, and feud between the rest of Gods who desired her equally. Afrodite will be found spending time with mortals such as Adonis, or with other Gods like Ares, the God of War.
In modern parlance, the word Adonis is used as an allusion to an extremely handsome, youthful male. In Greek mythology, Adonis is the result of an incest act between Myrha and her father Theias, the King of Smyrna or Syria. Adonis was born as a result.
Finally, Eros, the God of lustflul love and intercourse played an important role in Greek mythology and the Graeco-Roman world later. There are many versions for his origins. In some myths, he is considered to be the son of Ares and Afrodite, but according to Plato's "Symposium" he was conceived by Poros (plenty) and Penia (poverty) at Afrodite's poverty. This perhaps explains the different aspects of love
As, we are getting closer to Valentine's Day, a variety of heart pendants in different colors and styles make the perfect gift for your loved one. They are made with sterling silver, and handblown millefiori glass. The matching earrings create an ideal jewelry set.
The jewelry heart pendants continue to be among the most admired pieces of jewelry in my collection. Their value never fades through the passage of time. These are classic, elegant pieces of beauty for your loved one.

Ancient Mystery Featured in Greek Jewely Piece
Fifty miles south of the City of Iraklion, in the island of Crete, the visitor will find the ruins of the second biggest city of Minoan Crete, Phaistos. Among other precious findings, the archaelogical dig unarthed a disc of fired clay . It is 15cm in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols.
The Disc of Phaistos is one of the pieces of my ceramic handmade jewelry that always generates interest. Archaelogists have been trying to decipher the disc without any success. There are many theories behind its meaning. Some experts claim the disc to be a form of calendar, whereas some others believe that it a geometric theorem.
The Disc of Phaistos has inspired artists to create jewelry pendants similar to the disc found in Crete. One will find the disc in gold or silver. My handmade Disc of Phaistos is a ceramic pendant made in Greece and it comes in many different colors. Visitors always enquire its meaning and get more interested and excited when they hear about the mystery covering the Disc of Phaistos.
I found out that each time the artist takes the time and effort to convey the meaning of a particular jewelry piece to the consumer, the opportunity to close the sale increases significantly.
The Disc of Phaistos transmits a mystery and magic to the buyer.

Beat Your Winter Blues with Greek Jewelry!
As we are going through the cold winter days and nights, with all the snow and the low temperatures, I can only think of some ideas that will help you beat your winter blues.
My Greek jewelry site is the source of simple jewelry with light colors and elegant designs.
A traditional sterling silver, gold plated spiral Greek key necklace will match perfectly any dress color while you dine in your favorite restaurant. The necklace comes with an equally impressive pair of matching spiral Greek key earrings.
For those ladies who have a greater affinity to colorful necklaces, I would recommend the red crystal necklace in sterling silver or the beautiful honey colored crystal necklace.
Last year, we enhanced our collection with beautiful sterling silver rings made with millefiori murano glass. The art and simplicity of our millefiori rings reflects in their shape and design.
Finally, our cross pendants are also handmade in traditional, yet sleek lines.
Wherever you are around the world, even for those who are looking right now out of their windows at the beautiful winter flurries forming a white mantle in your yard, there is a piece of Greek jewelry of all colors and styles awaiting for you.

What is in the Greek key?
Has anyone noticed the pattern of repeated vertical and horizontal lines in necklaces and bracelets?
This is the Greek key pattern. It is also known as "Meandros" or "Meander" a river which flows in the same pattern and it is located in Asia Minor.
The simplicity and elegance of the Greek key concept has inspired many designers to create jewelry showing that pattern. The Greek key was widespread in other art fields such as architecture.
One can see the Greek Fret ornating the Ancient Greek temples.
Is there a deeper meaning of the Greek key concept? The Greek key symbolizes the flow of life, eternal life, eternal love, and eternal friendship. There is no better way than having your wedding bands ornated with the Greek pattern.

Athens Jewelry Exhibition Sparks Interest
With only two days remaining before Popularart.gr and technima-expo.gr open their doors to the General public, I wanted to take the opportunity and wish to both organizers and vendors a very successful exhibition.
In a volatile market such as the current one, it is imperative that artists and jewelry makers do well.
The aim of these exhibitions is to provide suppliers who cater for the major island tourist market, with new pieces of work. Yet, this is a tremendous opportunity for any American who wants to import unique products of Greek art.
Some varieties of products include, ceramics, paintings, Greek cosmetics, worry beads, Greek jewelry and others.
The exhibitions take place in the new modern Athens Metropolitan Exhibition Center located in Hellinikon, the old Athens airport.
So, go ahead and visit Athens for a few nights. The airfares are inexpensive this time of the year :)

Happy New Year
Dear Friends !
2008 was an exciting year for me.
First, we added new jewelry designs from Greece and Italy. My customers got the opportunity to see and admire new art work in the Greek festivals in towns along the East Coast.
My commitment to quality and customer service paid off dividents as well. My sales increased in tough economic times. I want to thank my loyal customers for that.
Loyal and repeat customers are the best source of advertisement for a merchant.
